In November 2009, Mr. Dugan was named the company's President and CEO. Mr. Dugan has served as a member of our board of directors since October 2007, and previously served in several executive roles at the combined company from 1990-2004 prior to EchoStar's spinoff from DISH Network Corporation in January 2008. Until October 2006, Mr. Dugan was DISH Network's Chief Technology Officer, and prior to 2004 was its President and Chief Operating Officer. In that capacity, Mr. Dugan had been responsible for, among other things, all operations except legal, finance and accounting at DISH Network. Until April 2000, Mr. Dugan had been President of EchoStar Technologies Corporation. Previously, he was the Senior Vice President of the Consumer Products Division of DISH Network. Mr. Dugan began his EchoStar career as vice president of engineering in 1990 for the subsidiary that later became EchoStar Technologies L.L.C. Mr. Dugan is credited with being the chief architect behind the technological foundation for DISH Network and EchoStar.
David J. Rayner Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
David Rayner serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Rayner has a long history with EchoStar, dating back to 2004 when EchoStar and DISH Network Corp. (DISH) were part of the same company. At DISH, he served first as Chief Financial Officer and later as Executive Vice President of installation and service networks. After the spin-off of EchoStar in 2008, Mr. Rayner served first as EchoStar’s Chief Administrative Officer and later as Chief Financial Officer of EchoStar until 2011. Prior to his tenure at EchoStar, Mr. Rayner served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Time Warner Telecom in Denver.
Kenneth G. Carroll Executive Vice President, Corporate and Business Development
Ken Carroll serves as Executive Vice President, Corporate and Business Development. Mr. Carroll is a 20-year veteran of the satellite TV and satellite broadband industry and has held several positions with EchoStar, including Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer of EchoStar Satellite Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, and Executive Vice President, Business Development and International. Prior to joining the Company, from 2003 to 2010, Mr. Carroll served as President and Chief Operating Officer of WildBlue Communications, Inc., a nationwide satellite broadband company. In addition, Mr. Carroll previously served as Chief Financial Officer for Liberty Satellite & Technology and direct-to-home satellite TV provider PrimeStar.
Mark W. Jackson President, EchoStar Technologies L.L.C.
Mark Jackson serves as the President of EchoStar Technologies, a position he has held since 2004. Mr. Jackson served as Senior Vice President of EchoStar (now known as DISH Network) from April 2000 until June 2004 and as Senior Vice President of Satellite Services from December 1997 until April 2000. Mr. Jackson also served as Vice President of Engineering starting in 1996 after joining the company in 1993 as Director of Engineering. Prior to that, Mr. Jackson was Director of Engineering at Tandon Corporation, Inc., where he was responsible for product development, strategic planning and new product conception and definition. Jackson attended Texas Tech University and studied electrical engineering.
Anders N. Johnson President, EchoStar Satellites Services L.L.C.
Anders Johnson serves as President of EchoStar Satellite Services L.L.C. Mr. Johnson was previously at SES where he served as Senior Vice President of Strategic Satellite Development. Mr. Johnson joined SES GLOBAL after the combination of GE AMERICOM and SES in 2001. Prior to SES, he worked at GE from 1985 in a variety of executive level roles including Satellite Services, Aviation Services and Transportation & Industrial Financing. Mr. Johnson holds a BS Degree from the New York Institute of Technology.
Pradman P. Kaul President, Hughes Network Systems L.L.C.
Effective August 1, 2011, Pradman P. Kaul became a member of the EchoStar Board of Directors. Mr. Kaul also serves as the President of Hughes Network Systems L.L.C., a wholly owned subsidiary of EchoStar. Previously, Mr. Kaul served as the Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President and Director of Engineering of Hughes Network Systems, LLC ("HNS" and, together with Hughes Communications, Inc., "Hughes"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Hughes Communications, Inc. Before joining HNS in 1973, Mr. Kaul worked at COMSAT Laboratories in Clarksburg, Maryland. Mr. Kaul received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from The George Washington University and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. He holds numerous patents and has published articles and papers on a variety of technical topics concerning satellite communications. Mr. Kaul has been inducted as a member of the National Academy of Engineering. With over 37 years of experience at Hughes, Mr. Kaul has a deep knowledge and understanding of the satellite industry.
Sandra L. Kerentoff Executive Vice President, Global Human Resources
Sandra Kerentoff has served as our Executive Vice President, Global Human Resources since February 2012, following her appointment as head of Global Human Resources in October 2011. Ms. Kerentoff also has served as Senior Vice President, Administration and Human Resources of Hughes Network Systems, LLC since April 2000. Ms. Kerentoff joined Hughes Network Systems, LLC in 1977 and, from 1977 to 2000, held various positions of increasing responsibility. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Michigan State University.
Dean A. Manson Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
With Echostar Corporation since 2011
Dean Manson serves as our Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, a position he has held since November 2011, and is responsible for all legal and government affairs of EchoStar and its subsidiaries. Mr. Manson also serves as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Hughes Communications, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of EchoStar (together with Hughes Network Systems, LLC, "Hughes"). Mr. Manson joined Hughes in 2000 from the law firm of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy, where he focused on international project finance and corporate transactions, and was appointed General Counsel of Hughes in 2004. Mr. Manson received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Princeton University and a Juris Doctorate from Columbia University School of Law.
